Dunkin' Donuts have had a range of cabinets selling doughnuts at many service areas.
Their first motorway cabinet was in the WHSmith store at Oxford services during the summer of 2014. Welcome Break soon agreed to open more cabinets, but these would be incorporated into their Papa John's Pizza units, with staff serving customers.
Welcome Break closed their Papa John's Pizza units in January 2017, and the Dunkin' Donuts offer was removed at the same time.
Dunkin' Donuts cabinets were then introduced to some MFG forecourts in 2021.
Dunkin' Donuts are seeking to build a dedicated store with seating and a drive thru option at Markham Vale services. While this isn't a motorway service area, it does act like one, and it would be Dunkin' Donuts's first store on the major road network.
