Squashed in on the M6 between J10A and J11, Hilton Park is a large and very busy service area not far from Birmingham.
Regular road users will know Hilton Park as the first service area after the madness of the West Midlands. It's still squashed between junctions on a very busy section of the M6.

Brand Changes
Hilton Park features a large tower structure which was used by Top Rank as a restaurant. It closed and has been empty since the 1980s.
An M&S store opened here on 15 February 2007 and a WHSmith store has also opened here, replacing the Retail Store, T2 and Birthdays.

There was a Harry Ramsden's waitress restaurant here, and later a trial of a KFC, at the time it was Moto's only effort with the brand.
It became the UK's busiest service area, and was an obvious target when Granada wanted to add retail units to the front of their service areas. These units have changed brands many times over the years, including being used as a Trucker's Lounge and Moto's first KFC. They are mostly closed now, though one is used by the Central Motorway Policing Group.

The southbound forecourt Greggs opened on 23 March 2017, replacing the former Costa café. The two Greggs in the main building are both rare examples of indoor sites.
The southbound service area has a picnic area far from the main building, with its own car park, which most people miss because they're looking for the main facilities. It is a legacy feature of some older service areas and only actually has one table left. Most of the table's dedicated parking spaces have now been turned into a Tesla charging area.

One of the redundant units on the southbound side was later adopted by the Central Motorway Policing Group.
The northbound side was reconfigured in late 2023 to allow a new KFC restaurant to be added, with the new restaurant opening on 5 December. This is positioned where the former Costa Coffee store was, with a larger refurbished store replacing the former EDC restaurant area in October 2023. The final phase of investment on the northbound side came in the form of a brand new Pret A Manger store, which opened on 26 February 2024 replacing the former Cotton Traders unit, which had sat empty for a number of years.

The site was once one of a few Moto sites to house to a Ladbrokes betting shop.
Following the introduction of KFC to the northbound side in December 2023, another KFC restaurant was added to the southbound side in December 2024.
