There are two service areas at Markham Moor. Traffic can cross the bridge to use either side.

In October 1988, this was replaced by the Markham Moor North branch of Little ChefHistory, a Travelodge and a new Shell forecourt. The old garage was where the car park is now. Access was from the roundabout, with exits leading to the A1 northbound and Main Street.
