The Body Shop used to be a common sight at Moto service areas, but it was quickly withdrawn.
It was introduced as part of a plan to increase the amount of time customers were spending in their services by improving the shopping facilities, but this strategy changed. The introduction was controversial as Body Shop had an environmentally-friendly image, and 2000 was a time where motorways were particularly unpopular among green pressure groups.
The first store to open and last to close was at Leigh Delamere.
