Two sites located between junctions, connected by an internal bridge.
The M1 likes its facilities to be small and old, and Trowell doesn't let the side down. The two sides have developed somewhat differently as the place has grown.

Parking Prices
First 2 hours free for all vehicles, after which cars must pay £15 and HGVs, caravans and motorhomes £27. HGVs can pay £30 to include a £10 food voucher.
Prices are paid in the shop, or by using JustPark. The location code is 625162 (northbound) and 625163 (southbound).
HGVs can also pay by using SNAP. The location code is 13419 (northbound) and 13420 (southbound).
The fees are strictly enforced by GroupNexus.

Trivia and History

Trowell services was originally awarded to Mecca Leisure who opened it with very unique styling. Granada extended it, but Moto reduced the number of brand partners.
The southbound EDC restaurant was removed to make way for a M&S Simply Food store, which opened on March 30 2017, joining its northbound counterpart.
The southbound West Cornwall Pasty Company unit was replaced with another Greggs store in October 2019, meaning that there are now four Greggs stores here.
A KFC restaurant was added to the northbound side on 2 July 2024, replacing the takeaway-only Costa store. Moto had initially looked at utilising the former restaurant on the first floor to house the new KFC, but this didn't happen.
