After Rank refreshed their branding during the 1980s, the name Oasis Restaurant was applied to their buffet. It replaced Country In.
The restaurants had a blue carpeted floor, wooden furniture, and wooden dividers lined with fake plants. Doors were often used to separate the restaurant from the rest of the building. At one stage, Rank were offering one Esso Tiger Token for every £3 spent in the restaurant.
After Rank was sold to Pavilion in 1991, the old trademarks had to be removed within a few months. The Oasis Restaurants became Pavilion Restaurant. Initially the logos were simply covered up, but after a year they were refurbished, with the fake plants removed.
