Marston's Pubs opened The Little Castle that December, with an opening ceremony attended by the chair of Derbyshire County Council.

Chesterfield fish and chip restaurant owners Chesters opened a drive-thru restaurant here on 25 July 2023, in what was a £1million development for the firm.
