Trivia and History
The service area here opened as a filling station and McDonald's Drive Thru restaurant with space left to the east of the site for future development.
Castle Building Ltd proposed to build a 38-bed hotel on that undeveloped land to the east in 2006, labelled as 'Phase 2' of the service area, but these plans were refused.
The forecourt was formerly branded Texaco and operated by the Lincolnshire Co-op. In around 2012, it was rebranded to Gulf.
