Barely half a mile beyond Cartgate picnic area is this small, westbound petrol station. It is confusingly known as Cartgate Garage.

Trivia and History
The petrol station was first built in the 1950s and was expanded in the 1970s and 1980s, when Cartgate House was added by Yandles Garages.
MFG later acquired the site in November 2019 following their acquisition of Symonds Retail. They commenced a internal refit to the Londis store in February 2022, with the site reopening in March 2022 with a number of new grab and go options.
MFG are planning to build five electric vehicle charging points here.
