The crossroads on the A1 at Colsterworth (which later became a roundabout) became a hub of service station activity.
All four facilities are still in existence. They were originally a pair of Happy Eaters, and one large Granada restaurant - the latter now forms the main service area building albeit under EG Group ownership.
When the roundabout was removed, the signposts for Jubilee Garage were taken down. Officially, the signposts now direct you past it, to the main Colsterworth site. However, the entrance to the Jubilee Garage is so obvious that most people wouldn't notice the difference.
