Services opened 2024

This site used to be home to Sargeant's Garage, later Elmdon Garage, which provided fuel and workshop facilities. This was acquired by Honda UK in 1988 who turned the site into a car sales showroom.

Planning permission was initially granted to EG Group in March 2021 for a filling station and drive-thru unit to be built on the site, demolishing the existing car sales showroom. The project was later passed to Zuber Issa and his EG On The Move business.

The car sales showroom closed its doors in late 2023, with work on the new forecourt beginning in early 2024. The filling station and Starbucks drive-thru opened on 14 November 2024.

Green road signs referring to the site as an official service area were placed on the A45 westbound in September 2025. It's not entirely clear who was involved in this decision, as green 'services' signs haven't been allowed in the UK for 23 years, so it would be difficult to get one manufactured. The spacing of the symbols is also non-standard.
