Trivia and History
This forecourt was built right in the middle of the split between the A23 and what was the B2036 (now A273), in the 1930s. The original alignment of these two roads now forms part of the circulatory roads used to access the modern petrol station.
The filling station had an on-site garage, but this was closed and demolished in 2008 to make way for a much larger, upgraded site. This new filling station became a BP Express site and gained a M&S Simply Food store and Wild Bean Café.
BP added a BP Pulse electric vehicle charging point to their forecourt in late 2022, with the chargers going live in early 2023.
