Nando's Peri-Peri chicken restaurant originated in Johannesburg, and was introduced to the UK in 1992. After spreading to shopping centres and High Streets it became a British cultural icon of sorts.
In August 2014 Nando's occupied their first motorway unit at Beaconsfield services. Almost three years later, a second opening has happened at Cobham in winter 2017, eventually followed by a third at Extra's newest service area.
