Ben & Jerry's ice cream kiosks were introduced to several motorway service areas in 2021. Their units varied, from an internal one at Oxford, a stand-alone one at Hopwood Park, a novelty van at South Mimms, and some outdoor units elsewhere.
The units were provided during what was expected to be an extremely busy summer season, focused on Welcome Break's busiest sites, aiming to extract a little money from crowds who would otherwise just pass through. The partnership ended after just a few months.
