This is the new site at Lincs Gateway. For the site opposite Spalding Retail Park, see Springfields.

When the large Lincs Gateway housing estate and business park was built in 2017, space was left for a service station by the A16 roundabout. The land was divided into six parcels, with the petrol station, a large Applegreen, opening that year.

Trivia and History

A KFC is planned to open here soon.

In November 2018 Applegreen purchased a significant stake of Welcome Break. One of the trade-offs of the purchase was that this petrol station would eventually be re-branded Welcome Break, and adjusted to reflect the rest of their estate. It's likely that Welcome Break will try to refer to it as Spalding services, despite Springfields also claiming that title.
