Trivia and History

In the 1930s there was a garage on what is now the old road across the Isle of Sheppey. This became the current service station.

In early 2012, the petrol station was refurbished and gained a Subway, Spar and Costa Express. It also gained a four-bay jet wash and vac centre. The Subway closed in 2018 and Spar was rebranded to Welcome in partnership with Southern Co-op in May 2019.

On 30 June 2021, MFG acquired George Hammond PLC which saw this site transfer to their estate. As a result of the acquisition, MFG intend to rebrand the store to Budgens.
