Trivia and History

The service station was built in late 1987 by Happy Eater, known as their Colwyn Bay branch. It became a Little Chef in 1996, where it gained a Burger King.
The restaurant closed in around 2005. It went on to become Diner Fifty 5, Oinkys and Pinkeys. The building closed for good in 2015 and the signs were removed from the A55. There were plans to replace it with housing, but instead it re-opened as an independent restaurant with a name that's a nod to its history; 'Little Indian Chef'. The signs went back up.
The owner of the restaurant planned to build a second one in the car park. This plan has now been changed to a combined hotel and restaurant, which is intended to be branded one of the big names.
