Single site located between junctions on one side of the road..
The services at Great Ponton was really an MOT centre which sells fuel. As a result, it would close completely in the evening.
It was built in the 1960s as a local facility for the village. In 2011 it changed from Texaco to Harvest Energy.
In June 2020, the service area was sold to Certas Energy and rebranded to one of their partner brands Gulf reopening in October 2020. The site is now open 24 hours a day thanks to the installation of the pay at pump feature.
