The international kebab brand '''German Doner Kebab''' opened its first motorway store at [[Baldock|Baldock services]] in December 2023. This attracted considerable interest, as its long opening hours means it's the first restaurant in the UK to offer a doner breakfast menu.

Unlike a traditional kebab shop, the GDK units have a number of touchscreen ordering points, and a wide menu including burgers and [[Lavazza]] coffee.

Further units opened at [[Peterborough]] and [[Cambridge]] in February and March 2025 respectively. Both these units incorporate their own seating area, something which is only usually seen at their high street stores.
