Dr Beak's Chicken was a curiously-named sister brand of Wimpy, made available at Roadchef service areas.
It was created by Wimpy in October 1999 to exploit the popularity of chicken, especially following the success of KFC. At service areas, it would be available either in a stall within the restaurant, or as an addition to the Wimpy menu. It was always promoted as a separate brand.
In 2003 Dr Beak was brought under the Wimpy name to become Wimpy Chicken.
