Template:Operator Colours
This template maintains a list of colours used to identify operators in other boxes, such as Template:Services (the service area page) and Template:Services dpl5 (search by road). The main exceptions are Template:Infobox (the operator page), where the colours are specified on each page, and Template:Services / dpl2, where the background colour is taken from this script but the font colour is hard-written into the CSS, for historic reasons (because it uses a large print link).
Using this template means that when a company changes colours, or a new operator is added, there is no need to update each template individually.
The aim is not to perfectly recreate each operator's logo: if we were doing that, we'd just use the logo. Instead the aim is to use a colour which can easily be identified at a glance. Be aware of contrast issues when using different colours.
Every possible spelling of an operator's name needs to be specified here, including any old spellings that are still used on this website. In line with this website's policy, no response is provided if the operator's name isn't on the list (but it will still be printed on some search results), and black-signed truckstops should always have their operator provided as "truckstop" so that they can be clearly identified by their black colours.
This is an automatic template that takes data from other pages. To make changes, you need to visit the relevant service area's page and update that.
