This template formats key information about the service area, which is sent to the search engine.

Template parameters

This template prefers block formatting of parameters.

Name	name	The name of the service area, if not the same as the page name. Appropriate names are discussed in the style guide. They don't normally contain any SEO-style branding, except in Ireland. Default {{PAGENAME}} Example Keele	String	optional

Owner	owner	For truckstops: state the brand name of the owner. For Ireland: put 'state' if the service area is owned by the state. For any others: You can put who owns the land, but it currently doesn't do anything. Example Westmorland	String	optional
Image	image	The file name of a clear and interesting photo that gives a fair and recognisable impression of the service area building. Example Sarn Park 2020.jpg	String	suggested
Alternative Gallery	gallery	The website will say how many photos are tagged with this page name. Use this field to search for a second gallery. Example Harthill	String	optional

Smart Motorway	smartmotorway	Experiment - set to yes if the motorway doesn't have a permanent hard shoulder. This isn't quite the same as National Highways' definition of a smart motorway, but better matches what the public expect. It doesn't currently impact the main page. Marker Post	markerpost	So that the search engine can display the results in the order you drive them, this field runs from 0001 to 9999. The leading zeroes are important. Where possible, we make it reflect the marker post nearest to the service area (to the nearest 1km). Where roads cross, we frequently have to 'hack' it. Example 0276	String	suggested
