The service area is signed from the south-westbound side of the road, at the Smithaleigh exit. The facilities are arranged around the village.

Access to this facility from the north-eastbound side is technically possible, but it's neither signposted nor direct. You would need to leave at the Lee Mill exit, and then take the left turn in the village for Yealmpton. Follow this road over the bridge to enter Smithaleigh. The forecourt is in the cul-de-sac to the left; the hotel is further along the road.
