This template should be used for service areas with a significant indoor play area. It can be used as well as Template:Soft Play Area or Template:Indoor Play Area, if necessary. Outdoor play areas are classed as part of the "outdoor space". The warning parameter should be given if the play area is only suitable for very young children.

It follows the same rules as all other templates. When it comes to the MSO wet weather rule, we must consider whether it is safe for young children to be using the facility. This generally means that outdoor play areas should always be marked as "northbound only" if they are next to the northbound car park, and the only time a tag like that isn't needed is when you have a play area on either side of the road (or when there is only one car park).

The reason we use templates is so that we can generate a list of Children's Play Areas.

This template tells both the page and the search engine that this facility is available.
