Pret outlet at Moto’s brand new Rugby site, situated next to the entrance/exit, on the main concourse to the food court, meaning all customers would pass this unit, giving Pret some extra trade. Pret does a similar job to Costa at Rugby, serving customers light meals and coffees. Pret is a recent brand on the motorway network, first opening at South Mimms in 2016. Moto began using Pret in 2021, with this being their 2nd location. Pret wanted to find additional locations other than urban areas (namely London) due to more people working from home following the covid pandemic, decreasing trade. The new Moto locations are said to take 25% more in sales than their existing locations, making their operation at Moto services highly successful. Pret is Moto’s response to giving motorists healthy food. Pret at Rugby is large, with a single row of seating. Customers can sit in, but due to the limited amount of seats, most will use the communal seating when busier. Pret does have extortionate pricing however. High street branches are expensive as it is, but inflation makes Pret rather unaffordable. Pret do lovely takeout sandwiches though. Pret was very quiet during my visit despite the rest of Rugby being fairly busy, which seems odd, but could be the high pricing. Pret is signposted from both directions of the M6.
