Exterior of Charnock Richard South’s amenity building. The sloped roof on the entrance is typical of Welcome Break sites. Built in 1963, Charnock Richard has faced many changes. Although very different now, the exterior hasn’t changed much structurally, compared to Northbound. Customers wanting Waitrose are instructed to go “over the bridge”. The food-court footbridge is clear to see above this building. There’s limited green space at Charnock Richard. The amenity building is looking quite tidy & good for its age.
