The Chopstix Noodle Bar offer at Stop 24 Folkestone, located amongst other food units left of the main entrance, towards the back of the interior, between Subway & Taco Bell. Chopstix provides a range of curries, noodles and rices in 3 different meal sizes. Chopstix has traded at Folkestone since around 2014 & created a new Asian-themed offering at the site. This was an idea being adopted by most operators at the time with Moto introducing Chow, Welcome Break using Chopstix & Roadchef using Chozen Noodle. Asian themed takeaways help make motorway food courts more diverse and creates more options rather than just KFC/Subway etc. Chopstix hasn't changed at all since opening here, thus appears more outdated than others on the motorway. It retains its yellow colour scheme. Today, Chopstix has a red/orange colour scheme. Presumably due to Stop 24's low footfall, Chopstix keep their prices the same as that of their high street branches with no inflation. This is rare as Chopstix tend to inflate their motorway prices. The unit had just opened for the day, so all menu items were available & fresh. When Chopstix opened at Folkestone, it was fairly difficult to find at services elsewhere. Since then, Welcome Break has transformed many of their "Good Breakfast" units into hybrid units serving Chopstix Noodle products in the afternoon. In addition, Extra have changed their Chozen units for Chopstix, so it's much easier to come across now. Aside from the motorway, Chopstix are opening rapidly across the UK. Chopstix has no seating of its own, so customers can make use of the communal seating opposite. Chopstix is no longer the only Asian themed takeaway at Folkestone since the opening of "Curried Away" in the former "Treats" unit. Chopstix will likely remain the more popular Asian as it's a more known name. This photo shows the high ceilings & sense of spaciousness at Folkestone. It's a huge place with nothing much in it. Chopstix was rather quiet during my visit as a result of it only just opening for the day (it opens at 12pm, which is the time I visited). It would be much busier at around 1-3pm. Chopstix isn't signposted from either side of the M20. You'd think Stop 24 would include it on the motorway signposts as it's a popular brand which would attract some trade off the motorway, but it is included on the small totem pole outside the main entrance.
